IDF Destroys Large Hezbollah Tunnel Beneath Southern Lebanon Factory
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have destroyed a significant underground tunnel used by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. The tunnel, located in the village of Hdaitha, served as a Hezbollah command post and extended approximately 55 meters with three living chambers. It was constructed beneath a building manufacturing plant and about 300 meters from a UNIFIL facility.
The operation was carried out by the 401st Brigade team under the command of the 91st Division, alongside forces from Battalion 601 and the Yahalom engineering unit. During the clearance, the IDF discovered an underground shaft containing dozens of weapons.
The IDF stated its commitment to continue removing threats to its forces and prevent Hezbollah from endangering Israeli civilians. This action reflects ongoing efforts to counter Hezbollah's military infrastructure in the region.
