IDF Destroys Hezbollah Underground Command Post in South Lebanon Security Zone

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) units from Brigade 401 and the Combat Engineering Corps (Yahalom) successfully destroyed an underground command post used by the Hezbollah terrorist organization. The operation took place in the security zone in southern Lebanon, specifically in the village of Hdatta. The underground tunnel system measured approximately 55 meters in length and included three living chambers. It was constructed beneath a building manufacturing construction materials and located about 300 meters from a UNIFIL facility.

During the operation, the IDF also discovered an underground shaft containing dozens of weapons. The forces involved were from Battalion 601 and Yahalom, operating under the command of Division 91. The IDF emphasized its ongoing commitment to removing threats to Israel and preventing Hezbollah from harming Israeli civilians. The military released footage documenting the destruction of the tunnel system.

This operation is part of the IDF's broader efforts to neutralize Hezbollah's military infrastructure in the region and maintain security along Israel's northern border.
