The story · English

Following the recent Israeli withdrawal and ceasefire, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are intensifying efforts to locate and destroy Hezbollah weapons caches in southern Lebanon. Over the past days, soldiers from the 401st, 4th, and 300th Brigades have uncovered dozens of weapons, including Kalashnikov rifles, RPG rockets, explosives, grenades, magazines, and other combat equipment.

The IDF's reconnaissance unit 'Shahaf' (Unit 869) also identified a suspect near Ras Baida who approached Israeli forces in a threatening manner. After warning shots were fired to deter him, and he continued advancing without heeding calls, troops from the 55th Brigade fired to neutralize the threat.

These operations reflect ongoing security measures by the IDF to prevent Hezbollah from maintaining or rearming its military capabilities in the border area following the ceasefire agreement.
