IDF Destroys Hezbollah Underground Weapons Cache in Southern Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) recently uncovered and destroyed an underground tunnel used by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon to store weapons. The operation, conducted over the past week by the 55th Brigade combat team and engineering forces under the command of Division 91, aimed to locate and eliminate threats that could be used against Israel and IDF personnel operating in the area.

During the search, the forces found a variety of weapons including Kalashnikov rifles, anti-tank missiles and launchers, artillery weapons, and RPG rockets. After identifying the tunnel and the weapons cache, the IDF forces carried out a raid and destroyed the underground facility.

The operation is part of ongoing efforts by the IDF to dismantle Hezbollah's military infrastructure in southern Lebanon and prevent potential attacks against Israel. The IDF spokesperson emphasized that the mission's goal was to remove threats that Hezbollah might use against the State of Israel and Israeli forces in the region.
