IDF Fires Artillery at Ali Al-Taher Ridge in Southern Lebanon Amid Diplomatic Stalemate

During the night, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted artillery fire targeting the Ali Al-Taher ridge in the Nabatieh district of southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese Al Mayadeen channel. The IDF Home Front Command announced that a siren test would take place at 23:30 near Ramon Airport, stating that in the event of a real alert, notifications would be sent via the Home Front Command app and other warning systems.

A Lebanese diplomatic source, speaking to Al Mayadeen, which is affiliated with Hezbollah, indicated there are no plans for a new round of negotiations between Lebanon and Israel next month. The source suggested that if talks resume, they are likely to occur after the current summer. The source also noted that both the American and Israeli sides refused to expand the "trial zones" before progress is made in the existing areas.

The Lebanese delegation rejected Israeli claims that all explosions in southern Lebanon result from attacks on military infrastructure. Furthermore, the American and Israeli delegations have demanded Hezbollah's withdrawal from the Ali Al-Taher ridge in the Nabatieh area.
