צה"ל הדיח מתפקידו את קצין המטה (קמ"ן) של אוגדת עזה, זאת בעקבות אירועי 7 באוקטובר. ההחלטה התקבלה לאחר תחקיר שקבע כי הקמ"ן נושא באחריות פיקודית לאירועים. ההדחה מהווה צעד נוסף במסגרת התחקירים והבחינות שצה"ל מקיים לגבי האחריות לאירועי מתקפת הטרור.

ההחלטה להדיח את הקמ"ן התקבלה על ידי דרגים בכירים בצה"ל, והיא משקפת את המדיניות של הטלת אחריות על מפקדים בכירים בעקבות הכישלון הביטחוני. צה"ל ממשיך בתהליכי תחקור ובחינה של אירועי 7 באוקטובר, במטרה להפיק לקחים ולמנוע הישנות מקרים דומים בעתיד.
