Anan Khalaily Signs Record Deal With Inter Milan for €25 Million

Anan Khalaily is set to become the most expensive Israeli footballer in history after agreeing to join Italian champions Inter Milan. The deal, valued at 25 million euros plus future bonuses, was finalized following lengthy negotiations with Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise, who rejected an earlier 20 million euro offer. Khalaily has already agreed on personal terms with Inter, including a five-year contract worth 2.2 million euros per season, pending medical examinations.

Inter entered the transfer race relatively late but ultimately outbid Napoli, who had been in prolonged talks with both Khalaily and his club. Maccabi Haifa, Khalaily's previous club before his move to Belgium, will receive 3.5 million euros from the transfer. Khalaily completed the 2025/26 season as one of Union Saint-Gilloise's standout players, transitioning from an attacking winger to a versatile right-sided player capable of also playing right-back. He made 46 appearances across all competitions, scoring six goals and providing five assists, including three goals in seven Champions League matches.

Khalaily joined Union Saint-Gilloise in summer 2024 from Maccabi Haifa and quickly became one of Europe's most sought-after talents. His impressive performances, especially in the Champions League, caught the attention of Inter Milan. The move represents a major step up in Khalaily's career, where he will compete for a spot in coach Christian Kibu's lineup. Inter believes Khalaily's versatility and potential will make him a key squad member in the coming years.
