Heavy Rains Hit Jerusalem and Northern Israel; Light Showers Expected
Heavy rainfall was recorded across several regions of Israel on Friday morning, with the northern area seeing the most significant amounts. Kibbutz Menara in the Upper Galilee received 7 mm of rain, while Kfar Giladi recorded 6 mm. The southern coastal region, specifically Ashkelon, experienced between 3 to 4 mm of rain. Jerusalem also saw strong downpours at times.
The meteorological forecast indicates that the chance of rain will persist until Friday afternoon. The Israel Meteorological Service anticipates further rainfall in the central region, with the Western Galilee, northern coast, and the Sharon area potentially receiving up to 15 mm.
Looking ahead, no significant change in temperatures is expected for Saturday. Light rain is forecast for the northern and coastal areas, with partly cloudy skies. A slight increase in temperatures is predicted for Sunday, bringing them closer to the seasonal average across most regions. A further minor temperature rise is expected on Monday.
