Significant Temperature Drop Expected With Rain and Thunderstorms This Weekend

Israel is set to experience a notable drop in temperatures starting Friday, accompanied by rain and isolated thunderstorms, particularly in the north. The weather is expected to be partly cloudy with a significant decrease in temperatures, especially in the mountains and inland areas, where they will be slightly below the seasonal average. Localized rain is forecast for northern and central Israel, with a possibility of isolated thunderstorms in the north. Winds will strengthen across most regions, though the rain is expected to diminish by the afternoon.

Saturday will remain partly cloudy with no significant temperature changes. Light rain or drizzle may occur in northern Israel and along the coastal plain until the afternoon.

Sunday, the eve of Yom Kippur, will start partly cloudy, becoming fair later in the day. Temperatures will rise slightly to seasonal norms in most areas.

Monday, Yom Kippur, will also begin partly cloudy and turn fair, with a further slight increase in temperatures. Highs in Tel Aviv will be 30°C, Haifa 29°C, Jerusalem 25°C, Ashdod 30°C, Be'er Sheva 31°C, Ashkelon 30°C, Mitzpe Ramon 27°C, and Afula 31°C.
