Israel Weather Forecast: Cooler Temperatures and Scattered Showers Expected

Israel's Meteorological Service forecasts a drop in temperatures on Friday, September 18, bringing them slightly below the seasonal average. Variable cloudiness is expected, with rain anticipated in the north and central regions, extending to the northern Negev, possibly accompanied by thunderstorms. Winds will also strengthen.

Specific temperature ranges include Jerusalem (19-26°C), Tel Aviv (22-30°C), Haifa (23-29°C), Eilat (27-38°C), and Beersheba (24-31°C). The Dead Sea coast will see temperatures between 28-37°C, while Ashkelon and Ashdod will experience 25-30°C. Ariel is forecast for 21-27°C, and Tiberias and the Sea of Galilee coast for 22-30°C. The Golan Heights will range from 19-28°C.

Sea conditions on the Mediterranean coast will be hazardous, with water temperatures at 30°C and wave heights between 60-170 cm. Winds along the Mediterranean coast will be southwesterly, reaching up to 20 km/h near Tel Aviv and 25 km/h near Haifa. Winds near the Sea of Galilee will be westerly up to 20 km/h, and in the Eilat Bay area, they will be northerly up to 15 km/h.

The forecast for Saturday indicates a slight further decrease in temperature with variable cloudiness. Temperatures are expected to rise on Sunday, then decrease slightly from Monday to Wednesday, with no significant changes anticipated by Thursday.
