Israeli police arrested Sultan Abu Alheiga, a 31-year-old resident of Tamra, on August 28th on suspicion of security offenses. According to the investigation, Abu Alheiga allegedly contacted the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas's military wing in Gaza, multiple times with the intention of covertly aiding them.
Furthermore, the suspect is accused of establishing contact with Iranian intelligence officials. However, he was apprehended before he could carry out any tasks for them. An indictment is expected to be filed against him following the conclusion of the investigation.
