Arab Israeli Man Charged With Planning Terror Attack on Tech Firm Servers

The State Prosecutor's Office has filed an indictment against Mustafa Issa, a 20-year-old Arab Israeli man from Kafr Qasim, who allegedly planned a terror attack targeting the server farm of the company Amdocs in Ra'anana. According to the indictment, for about a year and a half, Issa exploited his volunteer position with the fire and rescue services to patrol the area and gather intelligence on strategic targets. His objective was to inflict severe diplomatic and economic damage on Israel.

To achieve this, Issa purchased a drone and related equipment, and downloaded instructional videos and guides for manufacturing weapons. He attempted to assemble an explosive device by mixing flammable materials with fireworks and firecrackers. In another instance, he concocted a mixture of sulfur, charcoal, and other substances. After his experiments failed, he destroyed the materials.

The indictment, filed by attorney Assaf Haralofsky of the Central District Prosecutor's Office, charges Issa with preparing for an act of terror, malicious damage with explosives, acting with a weapon for terror purposes, and undergoing training for terror purposes. The prosecution requested that his detention be extended until the conclusion of legal proceedings, emphasizing his high level of danger due to his progress in executing the plan.

The prosecution also noted that the motive for his actions stemmed from the "Swords of Iron" war, as well as an education in hatred of Israel he received in school, according to his statements. The indictment was filed at the Lod District Court.
