Israeli Teen Arrested for Alleged Terror Plot Against Tech Giant Amdocs

Israel's security forces have thwarted a terror attack targeting the technology giant Amdocs, arresting a 19-year-old Israeli Arab from Kafr Qasim on suspicion of planning the assault and manufacturing explosives. The suspect, Mustafa Issa, allegedly exploited his access to a sensitive Amdocs server farm, where he worked as part of his national service in the fire and rescue department, to identify the facility as a strategic target for an attack.

According to the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) investigation, Issa underwent a significant radicalization process, influenced by the 2021 "Operation Guardian of the Walls" and the Hamas massacre on October 7th. Security forces seized suspicious evidence during a raid, including airsoft weapons and extensive military training equipment. Analysis of his mobile phone revealed he had been searching online for combat guides and instructions on how to build explosives.

Issa reportedly moved beyond theoretical research, beginning practical experiments in assembling explosive devices. He also shared this information and his experiments with other individuals. Following an intensive investigation, a statement of charges was filed today at the Central District Court, paving the way for a severe indictment.

Both the Shin Bet and the Israel Police issued a strong statement, declaring, "We view with great severity any involvement of Israeli citizens in activities that endanger the country's security, and we will continue to take all measures to thwart threats and prosecute offenders."
