Firefighter Indicted for Planning Terror Attack on Tech Firm

A 20-year-old man from Kafr Qasim, Mustafa Issa, has been indicted in the Lod District Court on charges of committing offenses against state security with nationalistic motives. For approximately a year and a half, Issa planned to carry out an attack by planting an explosive device or dropping it via a drone. To facilitate this, he volunteered with the fire and rescue services, as first reported by i24NEWS.

Issa decided to target the server farm of the company Amdocs in Ra'anana, believing that an attack on it would cause severe diplomatic and economic damage to Israel. As part of his preparations, he downloaded guides, files, and videos on manufacturing weapons, explosive devices, and lone attacker operational patterns for training purposes.

The indictment further reveals that Issa attempted to assemble an explosive device by mixing flammable materials with fireworks and detonators he purchased. In another instance, he prepared a mixture of sulfur, charcoal, and other substances, but destroyed the mixture after an experiment failed. Concurrently, he acquired a drone and accessories to attach a bomb to it, and watched instructional materials on mounting explosives onto drones to execute his plan.
