Kindergarten Aide Sentenced to Seven Years for Abusing 12 Children in Netanya
A kindergarten aide in Netanya has been sentenced to seven years in prison by the Central District Court in Lod for a prolonged period of abuse against 12 children under her care. The offenses occurred between May 29 and June 27, 2024. The aide's violent acts included kicking, slapping, pulling children's hair, and striking them against the floor and with brushes.
She was convicted on nine counts of abusing a minor unable to protect themselves by a person responsible for them, and 33 counts of assault causing actual injury to a minor unable to protect themselves by a person responsible for them. In addition to the prison sentence, the court ordered her to pay 300,000 shekels in compensation to the children.
The court's decision reflects the severity of the repeated physical and emotional harm inflicted upon the young victims.
