Israel Destroys Hamas Weapons Depots in Gaza
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency conducted a joint operation on Wednesday, targeting and destroying three Hamas weapons storage facilities in different areas of the Gaza Strip. According to the IDF, these depots contained weapons, explosives, anti-tank missiles, and other military equipment.
The IDF stated that the terrorist organization had stored these materials within the targeted facilities. The military emphasized its commitment to continuing operations to degrade Hamas's military capabilities in Gaza and to thwart any attempts by the group to rearm or acquire weapons for attacking Israeli forces.
Forces from the IDF Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with an agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threats, the IDF spokesperson's office reported. Video footage of the strikes was released.
