IDF and Shin Bet Destroy Hamas Weapons Caches and Rocket Launch Site in Gaza
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency announced on Tuesday the destruction of three Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad weapons depots and a rocket launch pit in the Gaza Strip. The targeted strikes took place across various areas of Gaza.
The depots contained dozens of weapons, including rockets, Kalashnikov rifles, and other military equipment. The IDF also identified that Hamas operatives had recently been using these caches to maintain control and conduct guard duties within Gaza.
The destroyed launch pit was used to fire rockets at Israel during the ongoing conflict. The IDF stated its commitment to continuing operations to degrade terrorist capabilities in Gaza and prevent any attempts to rebuild them or stockpile weapons aimed at harming Israeli forces.
Southern Command forces are deployed in the area and will continue to operate to neutralize immediate threats, according to the IDF.
