Israel Destroys Hamas Weapons Caches and Rocket Launcher in Gaza
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency conducted targeted strikes across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, destroying three weapons depots belonging to Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), as well as a rocket launcher site used during the ongoing conflict. The targeted warehouses contained dozens of weapons, including rockets, Kalashnikov rifles, and other military equipment.
According to military intelligence, Hamas operatives have recently been observed accessing these caches and utilizing the stored weaponry for guard duties and to assert control within Gaza. The IDF stated that forces in the Southern Command will continue to operate decisively to degrade the capabilities of terrorist organizations and neutralize any immediate threats, in line with existing agreements.
The operation aimed to disrupt the terrorist groups' logistical infrastructure and operational capabilities within the densely populated enclave.
