IDF Strikes Hamas and Islamic Jihad Arms Caches, Rocket Launcher in Gaza
Israeli forces, in a targeted operation across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, destroyed three Hamas and Islamic Jihad weapons depots and a rocket launching pit. The launching pit had been used to fire rockets into Israel during the ongoing conflict. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that the terrorist organizations had stored dozens of weapons, including rockets and Kalashnikov rifles, within the targeted warehouses.
According to the IDF, recent intelligence indicated that Hamas operatives had been accessing these depots to arm themselves for guard duty and to solidify their control within the Strip. The IDF Spokesperson's Unit released footage of the strikes.
The IDF asserted its commitment to dismantling terrorist capabilities in Gaza, preventing any attempts to rearm, and neutralizing threats to Israeli forces. Southern Command forces are deployed in the area and will continue to operate to eliminate any immediate threats.
