Israel Strikes Hamas, Islamic Jihad Arms Depots and Rocket Launch Site in Gaza
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency conducted targeted strikes across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, destroying three weapons depots belonging to Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Additionally, a rocket launch pit used to fire projectiles at Israel during the ongoing conflict was eliminated.
The targeted warehouses contained dozens of weapons, including rockets, Kalashnikov rifles, and other military equipment. The IDF identified recent activity by Hamas operatives in these locations, utilizing the stored weaponry for guard duties and reinforcing the terror group's control within the Strip.
IDF forces operating in the Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with existing agreements. The military emphasized its continued commitment to degrading the capabilities of terror organizations, thwarting rehabilitation attempts, and neutralizing any immediate threats to Israeli forces.
