IDF Destroys Five Hamas Weapons Depots Across Gaza Strip Overnight
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), guided by the Shin Bet security service, conducted strikes overnight targeting five weapons depots belonging to Hamas throughout the Gaza Strip. The depots contained assault rifles (Kalashnikovs), explosive devices, anti-tank launchers, ammunition, and other military equipment intended for terrorist activities. One of the depots was located near the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah and was used as a shelter by Hamas operatives storing weapons there. This incident highlights Hamas's systematic use of civilian infrastructure, including medical facilities, to facilitate terrorist operations.
The weapons seized and destroyed were meant to be used against IDF forces operating near the Gaza border and against Israeli civilians. The IDF emphasized that the strikes aimed to eliminate these threats. According to an IDF statement, Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area under the terms of the existing agreement and will continue to act to neutralize all threats.
