Ofer Winter's New Party Surpasses Threshold in Latest Poll
Brigadier General (Res.) Ofer Winter's new political party, Am Ech Israel, has successfully passed the electoral threshold, according to a new poll published by Walla. The survey indicates Winter's party would secure 4 Knesset seats if elections were held today. This development places Winter's party within the bloc supporting Benjamin Netanyahu, which collectively garners 51 seats in the poll. The opposition bloc, in contrast, is projected to win 57 seats, while Arab parties would receive 12 seats.
The poll, conducted by Lazar Research in collaboration with Panel4All, shows Yesh Atid leading with 25 seats, one more than in a previous survey. The Likud party follows with 21 seats, down one. United Torah Judaism, the Joint List, Otzma Yehudit, and Shas each receive 7 seats, with two of these parties losing a seat compared to the prior poll. Yisrael Beiteinu and the Democratic Party, led by Yair Golan, are tied at 9 seats, with Golan's faction losing one seat. Ra'am and Religious Zionism each secure 5 seats.
Parties falling below the electoral threshold in this poll include Benny Gantz's National Unity Party and the Economic Reservists party led by Haim Hanegbi and Yizhak Zarka. The poll was released one day after the deadline for submitting party lists for the 26th Knesset elections.
