Netanyahu Vows to Overthrow Iran's Regime, Cites Military Strength

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the General Staff Forum of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Thursday, stating his conviction that Israel can overthrow the Iranian regime and eliminate the threat it poses. Speaking at the Kirya military headquarters in Tel Aviv during a Rosh Hashanah gathering, Netanyahu asserted that "this regime is currently faltering. It is weaker than ever." He highlighted historical achievements in "three years of the War of Return" and since operations "Roaring Lion" and "With a Lion's Roar," which he claimed have secured Israel's continued existence against a regime seeking its annihilation and nuclear armament.

Netanyahu expressed confidence in the IDF's capabilities, including its soldiers, pilots, aircrew, and home front, to achieve the "main mission" of removing the threat from Iran, which he equated with toppling its government. He described this goal as "within reach" and "not impossible," noting that Iran currently refrains from attacking Israel directly due to its perceived strength and resolve. "I say to our enemies, do not mess with us," Netanyahu declared, warning them against underestimating Israel's power, determination, and internal unity.

The Prime Minister concluded by wishing the people of Israel a good year, emphasizing the nation's resilience and the proximity of achieving the goal of regime change in Iran.
