Netanyahu Expresses Confidence in Overthrowing Iran's Regime

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that overthrowing the Iranian regime is Israel's central mission, stating it is "close" and "within reach." He made these remarks during a Rosh Hashanah toast with Defense Minister Israel Katz, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, and members of the General Staff Forum at the Kirya military headquarters in Tel Aviv.

Netanyahu described the Iranian regime as "stumbling" and "weaker than ever," asserting that it is "fighting for its life." He credited Israel with pushing back the threat from a regime that seeks its destruction and nuclear armament, as well as other dangers. "I am convinced of our ability to remove this threat once and for all. That is, to overthrow this regime. This is the central mission that still lies before us, but it is close. It is not impossible. It is within reach," the Prime Minister stated.

He went on to praise IDF soldiers, pilots, navigators, the home front defense system, and the Israeli people. "I say to our enemies, do not mess with us. If you have learned anything, do not mess with us. We have the strength, the determination, and the internal unity to overcome you," Netanyahu added, warning adversaries against confronting Israel in the coming year.
