Netanyahu Vows to Overthrow Iran's Regime, Cites 'Achievable' Goal

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the General Staff Forum of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Thursday in Tel Aviv during a Rosh Hashanah toast, declaring his conviction that Iran's current regime is close to collapse and can be overthrown. Speaking alongside Defense Minister Israel Katz and IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, Netanyahu stated, "I am convinced of our ability to remove this threat once and for all, meaning to topple this regime." He characterized the Iranian regime as "limping" and "weaker than ever," fighting for its survival.

Netanyahu referenced past IDF operations, including "Roaring Lion" and "With a Lion," as historical achievements that ensure Israel's continued existence. He asserted that Israel has successfully distanced itself from existential threats, including Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons. "They know our strength, the might of our arm, and our determination," he said, adding, "I tell our enemies, do not mess with us. If you have learned anything, do not mess with us. We have the power, the determination, and the internal unity to overcome you."

The Prime Minister expressed confidence in the capabilities of Israeli soldiers, pilots, and the home front, emphasizing internal unity as a key strength. He concluded by wishing the people of Israel a good year and reiterated that the toppling of the Iranian regime is an achievable mission that is "within reach."
