Yair Golan Threatens Lawsuit Against Sara Netanyahu Over Defamation
Yair Golan, chairman of the Democratic Party, has sent a pre-litigation warning letter to Sara Netanyahu, wife of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, alleging defamation. Golan is demanding a public apology within 24 hours and compensation to be donated to survivors of the Nova music festival massacre, or he will file a NIS 2.5 million lawsuit.
The letter stems from an interview Netanyahu gave to Channel 14, in which Golan claims she "echoed conspiracy theories and slanderous and false statements that echo conspiracy theories, amounting to defamation in its most severe sense."
