Yair Golan to Sue Sara Netanyahu Over Hamas Attack Conspiracy Claims

Yisrael Beiteinu party chairman Gadi Eisenkot has condemned remarks made by Sara Netanyahu, wife of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who suggested that Yisrael Beiteinu MK Yair Golan had prior knowledge of the Hamas attack on October 7th. Eisenkot described Netanyahu's claims as a "crazy betrayal conspiracy" with no factual basis, intended solely to incite hatred.

Eisenkot voiced his support for Golan, highlighting his actions on the morning of the attack. "I strengthen my friend Yair Golan, who fought for the State of Israel and also on the morning of October 7th showed responsibility and courage and heroically saved lives," Eisenkot stated.

Earlier, Golan announced his intention to take legal action against Sara Netanyahu for her statements. Speaking to Army Radio, Golan confirmed, "We will definitely file a lawsuit against Sara Netanyahu."

In her remarks on Channel 14, Sara Netanyahu insinuated that Golan, a former IDF deputy chief of staff, was aware of the impending Hamas attack. She stated that Golan was dressed and ready early on October 7th, "when others did not know, such as the Prime Minister." She added sarcastically, "In general, who is the Prime Minister who needs to know that a war is breaking out, why inform him?"

When questioned about a "betrayal theory" and asked about a state inquiry commission, Netanyahu responded evasively, stating she did not want to talk about it and did not know, but added, "Let there be a real commission for investigation."
