Two Israeli Soldiers Killed in Gaza Drone Incident
The Israeli military announced the deaths of two reservists, Nadav Kali, 24, from Har Halutz, and Ofek Moalem, 23, from Jerusalem, who were serving in the 7007th battalion. The incident occurred on Thursday in the northern Gaza Strip.
According to initial findings, the soldiers' unit launched two explosive-laden drones from a post in northern Gaza. While the first drone successfully reached its target, the second drone unexpectedly turned back and crashed within the post. The cause of the malfunction is currently unknown.
The two soldiers were killed when the second drone exploded as they were picking it up. They sustained severe injuries and were later pronounced dead at the hospital.
