Two Reserve Soldiers Killed in IDF Drone Explosion in Gaza
Two reserve soldiers, Sergeant Major Nadav Keli, 24, from Har Halutz, and Sergeant Major Ofir Moalem, 23, from Jerusalem, were killed in an explosion involving an Israeli military drone in Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza.
Both soldiers were part of Battalion 7007 of Brigade 16. They were operating two drones when one of them crashed inside the outpost where they were stationed in Beit Hanoun. The soldiers were injured by the subsequent explosion and later succumbed to their wounds in the hospital. Their families have been notified.
The military is investigating all possible causes for the incident, including whether a communication issue led to the explosion. The investigation is ongoing.
