Two Israeli Soldiers Lightly Wounded in Hezbollah Bombing in Southern Lebanon
Two Israeli soldiers sustained light injuries on Saturday in southern Lebanon when an engineering vehicle they were traveling in detonated a Hezbollah explosive device. The soldiers were evacuated for medical treatment, and their families were notified.
In response to the incident, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) targeted Hezbollah infrastructure in the area. The IDF stated that the attacked sites included observation posts and facilities used by Hezbollah operatives to advance terror plans against Israeli forces.
The IDF spokesperson emphasized that Israeli forces remain deployed in the security zone in southern Lebanon in accordance with agreements and will continue to operate to neutralize threats against Israeli civilians and soldiers. The spokesperson added, "The IDF is currently acting and will continue to act forcefully against the repeated attempts by the Hezbollah terror organization to harm our forces."
