Two Israeli Soldiers Lightly Injured in Southern Lebanon Bombing
Two Israeli soldiers were lightly injured when an explosive device detonated on an engineering vehicle in southern Lebanon. The soldiers were evacuated for medical treatment and their families were notified.
In response to the incident, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted retaliatory strikes against Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon. The IDF stated that immediately after the explosion, several terror infrastructures were attacked in multiple areas. These included observation posts and terror infrastructure used by Hezbollah operatives to advance and execute terror attacks against Israeli forces.
The IDF emphasized its continued deployment in the security zone in southern Lebanon in accordance with agreements. The military vowed to continue operating to neutralize threats against Israeli civilians and its forces, and to act forcefully against repeated attempts by Hezbollah to harm Israeli troops.
