Two Israeli Soldiers Lightly Injured in Lebanon Blast; IDF Strikes Hezbollah Infrastructure
Two Israeli soldiers were lightly injured on Saturday when an explosive device detonated as an Israeli military engineering vehicle crossed into southern Lebanon. The soldiers were evacuated for medical treatment, and their families were notified. The device was reportedly planted by Hezbollah.
In response to the attack, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a wave of strikes targeting several Hezbollah terror infrastructure sites in southern Lebanon. Among the sites attacked were observation posts and terror infrastructure used by Hezbollah operatives to advance and execute terror plans against Israeli forces.
The IDF stated that its forces remain deployed in the security zone in southern Lebanon in accordance with agreements and will continue to operate to remove threats to Israeli civilians and forces. The military added that it is currently acting and will continue to act forcefully against repeated attempts by Hezbollah to harm Israeli forces.
