Two Israeli Soldiers Lightly Wounded in Hezbollah Clash in Southern Lebanon

Two Israeli soldiers were lightly injured during an exchange of fire with a Hezbollah operative in the Beaufort area of southern Lebanon. The incident occurred while an Israeli military force from the Golani Brigade's reconnaissance unit was conducting searches in the region. The Hezbollah operative, positioned inside a structure, opened fire on the soldiers. The Israeli forces returned fire, neutralizing the operative, according to the IDF spokesperson.

Following the engagement, the soldiers were evacuated for medical treatment at a hospital, and their families were notified. Shortly after, Israeli forces fired shells at the location where the operative had been hiding.

In response to the attack, the IDF also targeted additional Hezbollah infrastructure, including weapons depots, command posts, and other terror facilities in the area. The IDF stated its commitment to continuing operations to neutralize threats and prevent Hezbollah from harming Israeli civilians and forces, while upholding the ceasefire agreement.
