IDF Soldiers Injured in Southern Lebanon Clash; Hezbollah Militant Killed
Two Israeli soldiers were lightly wounded on Monday during a confrontation with a Hezbollah operative in the Beaufort area of southern Lebanon. According to the IDF Spokesperson, the militant opened fire on a reconnaissance unit from the Golani Brigade while they were searching a structure. The soldiers immediately returned fire, killing the operative.
The wounded soldiers were evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment, and their families were notified. The IDF stated that shortly after the incident, forces fired shells at the location where the militant had been hiding. Additionally, the Israeli military conducted strikes in the area targeting Hezbollah weapons depots, command centers, and other terror infrastructure.
The IDF emphasized its commitment to preventing Hezbollah from harming Israeli civilians and military forces, vowing to continue operations to neutralize threats while upholding the ceasefire agreement.
