Two Israeli Soldiers Lightly Wounded in Hezbollah Clash in Southern Lebanon
Two Israeli soldiers were lightly injured during a search operation by the Golani Brigade's reconnaissance unit in the Beaufort area of southern Lebanon. A Hezbollah operative opened fire from a building at the soldiers, who returned fire and killed the operative. The injured soldiers were evacuated for medical treatment and their families were notified.
Shortly after the exchange of fire, Israeli forces shelled the building where the operative had been located. Concurrently, the IDF targeted Hezbollah weapons depots, command centers, and other terror infrastructure in the region.
The IDF stated that it would not allow Hezbollah to harm civilians or security forces and would continue to act to neutralize threats, while remaining committed to the ceasefire agreement.
