Two Israeli Soldiers Lightly Wounded in Hezbollah Bombing in Southern Lebanon
Two Israeli soldiers sustained light injuries in southern Lebanon on Saturday when an engineering vehicle they were traveling in detonated on a Hezbollah explosive device. The soldiers were evacuated for medical treatment, and their families were notified.
In response to the incident, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted retaliatory strikes against Hezbollah infrastructure in the area. The targeted sites included observation posts and facilities used by Hezbollah operatives to advance terror plans against Israeli forces.
The IDF stated that its forces remain deployed in the southern Lebanon security zone in accordance with agreements and will continue to operate to neutralize threats to Israeli civilians and soldiers. "The IDF is currently acting and will continue to act forcefully against the repeated attempts by the Hezbollah terror organization to harm our forces," a spokesperson for the IDF said.
