Two IDF Soldiers Lightly Wounded by Hezbollah Explosive Device in Southern Lebanon
Two Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers were lightly injured on Saturday when an engineering vehicle struck an explosive device planted by Hezbollah in the security zone in southern Lebanon. The soldiers were evacuated for medical treatment, and their families were notified.
In response to the incident, Israeli forces attacked several Hezbollah terror infrastructure sites in southern Lebanon. These targets included observation posts and facilities used by Hezbollah operatives to advance and carry out terror attacks against Israeli forces.
The IDF stated that its forces remain deployed in the security zone in southern Lebanon in accordance with agreements and will continue to operate to remove threats to Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers. The military also affirmed that it will act against Hezbollah's attempts to harm Israeli forces.
