Israeli Man, 23, Dies in Paragliding Accident in Colombia
A 23-year-old recently discharged Israeli soldier died on Thursday in a paragliding accident while on a trip in Colombia. The incident occurred around noon in the city of Bello.
Reports indicate that the paraglider lost control during operation and crashed into a wooded area or slope near the road connecting Medellín and San Pedro de los Milagros. Local authorities stated that strong winds were present in the area before the accident and are investigating whether weather conditions contributed to the loss of control.
The Colombian instructor piloting the paraglider, Emiliano Monitón Castro, sustained serious injuries.
