Eight Dead in Israeli Road Accidents Over Two Days

A 18-year-old man was killed in Hadera late Friday after being struck by a vehicle on Dan Sachman Street, near the "HaHof Village" shopping center. Paramedics provided initial treatment and evacuated him to Hillel Yaffe Hospital with a head injury, but he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

The incident followed a particularly deadly Thursday, during which five people died in four separate fatal road accidents across Israel. The day's fatalities began with a cyclist in his 50s in Tel Aviv, who was allegedly hit by a car stolen by a 24-year-old Palestinian from the Nablus area who was attempting to flee police. The suspect was arrested, and car theft tools were reportedly found in the vehicle.

Later on Thursday, two men in their 30s were killed in a head-on collision between two private vehicles on Route 310 near Givot Bar in the Negev. In the afternoon, a 70-year-old driver died after his car collided with a bus on Route 20 near the KKL interchange in Tel Aviv. He was evacuated to Ichilov Hospital in critical condition but later pronounced dead. Three others sustained moderate to light injuries in this crash.

Finally, on Thursday evening, a motorcyclist in his 30s was killed near Kiryat Ata after being hit by a vehicle on Route 780. He was found unresponsive with severe injuries and pronounced dead at the scene. The police are investigating the circumstances of all these accidents.
