Five Dead in Four Fatal Road Accidents Across Israel

Five people were killed in four separate fatal road accidents across Israel on Thursday. The deadly day began in Tel Aviv, continued with a crash in the Negev that claimed two lives, and concluded with fatalities on Highway 20 and near Kiryat Ata.

In Tel Aviv, a cyclist in his 50s died after being struck by a car near Yonitzman Street. Police suspect the driver, a 24-year-old undocumented resident from the Nablus area, stole the vehicle and hit the cyclist while fleeing. The suspect was arrested, and items used for car theft were allegedly found in the vehicle. The cyclist was critically injured and later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Shortly after, a collision between two private vehicles on Highway 310 near Givot Bar in the Negev resulted in the deaths of two men in their 30s. Emergency services pronounced them dead at the scene. One vehicle sustained severe front-end damage and came to rest on a barrier fence. The highway was closed in both directions as police investigated.

Later in the day, a severe accident involving a bus and a car on Highway 20 near the Kakal interchange in Tel Aviv led to the death of the car's driver, estimated to be in his 70s. He was evacuated to Ichilov Hospital while undergoing resuscitation efforts but was pronounced dead. A 69-year-old man was moderately injured, and three others sustained minor injuries.

Towards the evening, a motorcyclist in his mid-30s was killed near Kiryat Ata after being hit by a vehicle on Highway 780. Paramedics found him with severe injuries, unresponsive, and without a pulse or breathing. Despite resuscitation attempts, his death was confirmed.
