Four Die in Israeli Road Accidents Within Hours

Four people were killed in separate road accidents across Israel on Thursday, September 17. In the Negev, two men in their 30s died when their cars collided on Route 310 near the settlement of Gvaot Bar. Emergency services pronounced them dead at the scene due to severe injuries.

Earlier, a bus and a car collided on Ayalon Highway near the KKL interchange, resulting in the death of the car's driver, a man in his 70s, who was taken to Ichilov Hospital. Four other individuals sustained injuries, ranging from moderate to light.

In another incident, a cyclist, approximately 50 years old, was killed near Zuk Beach north of Tel Aviv. Police arrested a 24-year-old Palestinian man, who was allegedly in Israel illegally, on suspicion of stealing the car that struck the cyclist and then crashing. A bag containing car theft tools was found in the stolen vehicle. The suspect was apprehended after his car overturned.

Authorities are investigating all incidents. The Tel Aviv traffic accident investigation unit is examining the Ayalon Highway collision, while police are collecting evidence at the scene of the cyclist's death. The Negev accidents are also under investigation.
