Five Dead in Israeli Road Accidents Over 24 Hours

Five people were killed in road accidents across Israel between Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday morning, a woman in her 50s died in a four-vehicle collision on Highway 2 near Atlit. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene and treated six others, including a man in his 60s with a serious head injury and five with minor injuries.

The previous day, two men in their 30s were killed and another man in his 30s was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 854 near Lapidot. Responders found the two deceased men, who had suffered multiple systemic injuries, after attempting resuscitation. The seriously injured man was evacuated to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya with altered consciousness and multiple injuries.

On Saturday evening, a foreign worker in her 40s died in a hit-and-run incident near the community of Tsohar in the Eshkol Regional Council. She was struck by a vehicle while riding an ATV. Paramedics treated her at the scene before evacuating her to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba, where she was pronounced dead. Police are searching for the driver and investigating the circumstances.

Also on Sunday, a 93-year-old man died in a three-vehicle accident on Highway 4 near the Ra'anana junction. He was taken to Meir Hospital in serious condition with a head injury, but his death was pronounced shortly after arrival.
