Two people were killed on Saturday in separate traffic accidents in northern Israel, while two others were injured and taken for medical treatment. Police are investigating both crashes.

The first accident happened before dawn on Hativat Carmeli Street in Haifa. A 22-year-old Haifa resident was killed after the car he was in crashed. Another man in his 20s was critically injured, and a 16-year-old girl in the vehicle was lightly hurt. Magen David Adom teams found the car crushed and the two young men trapped inside. After rescue work and initial treatment, the victims were taken to Rambam Hospital, where doctors pronounced one of them dead. Police believe this was likely a single-vehicle crash, and traffic investigators opened an inquiry.

Several hours later, another fatal crash occurred on Highway 6 near the Baka-Jatt interchange. A motorcyclist, about 50 years old, was hit and suffered very severe injuries. MDA crews found him without signs of life and later declared him dead at the scene.

Paramedic Muhammad Ganaim said the rider was lying unconscious on the road, without pulse or breathing, and with severe multi-system trauma. After medical checks, the teams had no choice but to confirm his death on site.
