Israel Eliminates Hamas Terrorist Involved in 2003 Attack
Israel's police, Shin Bet security agency, and the IDF released joint footage Tuesday of an airstrike in the Gaza Strip that killed Hamas terrorist Farah Hamed. Hamed was involved in numerous attacks, including the 2003 assassination of Shuli Har-Melech, husband of Member of Knesset Limor Son Har-Melech.
In recent years, Hamed had been advancing terror plots in the West Bank and was a long-time member of the "Silwad" cell. He also participated in a shooting attack in Ein Yabrud in October 2003, which resulted in the deaths of three IDF soldiers: Sergeant Elad Pollak, Sergeant Roi Yaakov Solomon, and Staff Sergeant Erez Idan.
The joint statement emphasized Hamed's significant role in planning and executing attacks against Israeli civilians and security forces.
