IDF Strikes Gaza, Eliminating Senior Hamas Official Farh Hamed
Sources in Gaza reported that the Israeli military conducted an airstrike earlier today, eliminating Farh Hamed, a senior official in Hamas's military wing. The strike targeted a motorcycle on which Hamed was traveling in Al-Rashid Street in western Gaza City.
Hamed was released in the 2011 prisoner exchange deal for Gilad Shalit and subsequently deported to the Gaza Strip. Since his arrival in Gaza, he became a leading figure in Hamas's West Bank headquarters, directing attacks in Judea and Samaria from Gaza.
