Beitar Jerusalem Nears Deal for Alexis Serna
Beitar Jerusalem has made significant progress in negotiations with Independiente Medellín for the transfer of Alexis Serna. The Israeli club has agreed to the Colombian team's demand of a 450,000 euro transfer fee.
However, Independiente Medellín has included several clauses regarding payment, future sales, and bonuses that Beitar Jerusalem currently finds unacceptable. In response, Beitar has submitted its own proposed amendments to the agreement and is awaiting the Colombian club's reply.
A Colombian journalist stated that Beitar Jerusalem submitted a purchase offer, which led to the closure of negotiations, adding, "Alexis Serna will be a Beitar Jerusalem player. It's closed, the negotiations are over." The journalist also indicated that Serna was expected to travel that night to sign a three or four-year contract, with the deal potentially valued between $500,000 and $600,000.
Despite these reports, the deal has not yet been finalized. Serna, 28, has been with Independiente Medellín since the start of 2025. He has not played since early June but has returned to full training, having made 25 appearances across all competitions this season.
