Beitar Jerusalem Reaches Deal for Colombian Midfielder Alexis Serna

Beitar Jerusalem has reportedly reached an agreement to sign Colombian midfielder Alexis Serna from Independiente Medellín. The Israeli Premier League club will pay Medellín $550,000 for the transfer, with potential future bonuses and a percentage of the player's rights also included.

This agreement follows two previous rejections of Beitar's offers. Initially, the club proposed a loan deal with an option to buy, which was turned down. A subsequent offer of $400,000 was also rejected before the final agreement was reached.

Serna, 28, who stands at 1.70 meters tall, is described as Beitar's primary midfield target. Last season, he made 25 appearances for Medellín, scoring 3 goals and providing 2 assists. He is under contract with the Colombian club until the end of 2027.

Independiente Medellín has had a disappointing start to their season, suffering heavy losses before securing their first win on Monday. Beitar Jerusalem has confirmed significant progress in negotiations for the player.
