Beitar Jerusalem Offers Contract to Colombian Midfielder Alexis Serna Ahead of Season
Beitar Jerusalem has submitted an offer to Colombian midfielder Alexis Serna as the club seeks to strengthen its squad before the new season. The 28-year-old Serna, who currently plays for Independiente Medellín, stands 1.70 meters tall and is under contract until the end of 2027. During the 2026 season, he made 25 appearances, scoring three goals and providing two assists, mostly as a starter. Serna began his career at Universitario Popayán before moving to Alianza and then joining Deportes Quindío in Colombia's second division in 2020, where he spent five years. For the past two years, he has been with Independiente Medellín. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is approximately 450,000 euros.
Beitar Jerusalem is considering Serna alongside two other candidates for the midfield position. Notably, Brian Cavallí, Beitar's Colombian defender, previously played at the same club as Serna during his youth. The club continues to pursue reinforcements following its exit from European competition and ahead of the Israeli Premier League season kickoff.
