Beitar Jerusalem Negotiates Loan Deal for Colombian Midfielder Alexis Serna Amid Financial Disputes

Beitar Jerusalem is actively working to sign 28-year-old Colombian midfielder Alexis Serna from Independiente Medellín. The club aims to bridge financial gaps with Serna's current team, as a full transfer is not feasible due to the nearly one million euro asking price. The proposed deal on the table is a loan with an option to buy. Independiente Medellín demands 270,000 euros for the loan and a 700,000 euro purchase option, while Beitar Jerusalem is negotiating for lower amounts in both categories. Serna's personal terms have already been agreed upon with Beitar.

Regarding his fitness, Serna, who suffered an injury in June, has resumed full training with his team and his physical condition has been assessed alongside his teammates. Despite not playing since early June, he has made 25 appearances across all competitions this year. Serna is eager to move to Israel and start a new chapter in his career, but the transfer depends on successful negotiations between the clubs. Beitar Jerusalem's Almog Cohen has expressed strong interest in acquiring the player, describing him as exactly what the team has been looking for.
