Wounded IDF Reservist Elisha Medan Added to Likud Knesset List
The Likud party announced Tuesday that Elisha Medan, a reservist soldier and co-founder of the Avigail settlement in Hebron, will be placed on its list for the 26th Knesset. Medan was critically wounded during operational activity in Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza, where four of his comrades were killed. He lost both legs due to his injuries and underwent an extensive rehabilitation process.
Medan later lit the Torch of Healing and Rehabilitation and received honors for his actions and bravery. The Likud stated that his recovery journey has made him a symbol of "strength, determination, and faith in the power of life." Following his injury, he continued to support and strengthen others.
The party added that his story "expresses the spirit of Israel's fighters and the strength of Israeli society to withstand the toughest tests, to recover, and to continue building."
